Materials Used
The frame and pole – 100% powder coated aluminium is used for manufacturing the Savannah. This allows 3 colours to be possible, white, black and grey, and prevents rust or corrosion from creating problems. The main features are the telescopic drive system and the ribs tensioning the fabric with spring loaded plunger ends.
The canopy – is made from a premium acrylic material – Recasens, to make sure it’s long lasting, and resistant in all seasons to fade, wind and water. You can choose to have it with or without valance and print your company’s logo, brand or name. See the ‘Canopy Materials’ tab for more.
Shapes and Sizes
Depending on the surface you need to cover, all three shapes are available – Round, Square and Rectangular, with the acrylic membrane possible in a wide range of large sizes: from 2.5 Round, the smallest available for this model, up to 5m X 5m Square or 6m X 4m Rectangular.

Accessories
Heating
Heaters are a great way to keep warm your customers in any season. The Savannah’s infra-red parasol heater can be controlled via a switch inside the building, or through an optional push for heat button which would be located on the pole of the umbrella. You can choose 2, 3 or 4 way heaters, the number being determined by the size of the canopy. They can be fitted onto the fold down arms and are available in either 1.0 or 1.5 KW. Auto Cut Off feature included as standard which cuts the power when collapsed.
*The wiring is set, but the heater units are not included.
Lighting
The LED lighting source for this parasol comes with a standard, cool and warm white, but other colours are also possible if needed. They have a remote-control kit included, but you can also hardwire and operate your lights using a switch, from the inside. They are easily mounted to the ribs, creating a wonderful light spread beneath the cover so you, or your clients, can enjoy late evenings on the terrace.
*The Savannahs come with pre-installed lighting.
Bases
Three choices: first and the most popular, is the In Ground base with sleeve, if your parasol won’t change its place on the terrace, the strongest type of anchoring available. Second, the portable base – so you can move your shade wherever is needed. This anchoring is not recommended for high wind locations unless additional fixing or weights are added. The third option is a spreader plate, ideal for hard floors and decks. You can chemically anchor it or fix it with hinges. Read more about bases in our ‘parasol base guide’.
Protection Cover –
The Parasol cover is UV resistant, lightweight and durable. It is designed to keep your Parasol looking good for longer. The Parasol cover has a water-resistant layer which lets moisture vapour escape and prevents rain formation. The cover has a specially treated inside which significantly reduces the harmful effects of direct sunlight on the parasol fabric.
